Hello Sapiens,
We’ve got some great updates. First up, our avatar now has a name—Orion—thanks to the community. Big shoutout to @troglod1t for suggesting it! We also put out a new case study with Uthana that shows how our custom workflows made their 3D animation labeling faster and more accurate. On the product side, profile photos are here, making contributor profiles feel more personal. We've added two new tasks: Quick Scripts: Mandarin and Furniture Identification: Bounding Box, plus new Leaderboard Tiers to reward our top performers.
We’re also thrilled to share a new partnership with Fishwar, which will help spread the word about Sapien tasks to more people through off-site experiences—adding thousands of new users to our platform.
Behind the scenes, we’ve upgraded our onboarding system and introduced new tools to track training and skill progression. We’ve also rolled out improvements like a multi-step TagFlow for vehicle positioning tasks — in simple terms, this helps us clear the backlog of pending points. On top of that, we’ve built a better system for quality-checking submissions and settling points faster on these tasks. Plus, we’ve started expanding tasks for other languages such as Brazilian Portuguese, French, and Arabic. If you’d like to see the entire change log, you can now access it through our Gitbook here.
NOTE: We are aware of a few UI issues and bugs that we are working to resolve. Namely, some users having trouble accessing the website and getting a blank screen at login. This issue seems to be sporadic, related to our firewall protections and regionally isolated. We’re deploying a few fixes and should have the full resolution shipped soon.
Community AMA:
We recently hosted a live AMA/Townhall driven entirely by community questions, focusing on how your feedback has helped shape Sapien’s progress. We discussed how Sapien is designed to be accessible to both beginners and experts, and highlighted the features that set us apart. The session also covered the role of community in our growth, including how users can engage directly with developers and partners. We addressed questions about rewards, point conversions, and withdrawals, while also celebrating milestones like 500K AI Trainers and 40M completed tasks!
Sapien Case Study:
Want a peek at what our enterprise AI customers are up to?
Uthana partnered with Sapien to tackle the challenges of labeling over 10,000 data points for 3D animations. By working closely together, the teams iterated on a workflow that improved accuracy, efficiency, and ease of use—while also integrating seamlessly with Uthana’s own tools. The result was a 476% boost in labeling speed and a 16% increase in accuracy, enabling Uthana to train better-performing AI models. Sapien delivered consistent, on-time results while staying flexible and communicative throughout the project, setting the stage for future collaboration.
Closing Thoughts
We’re actively improving the Sapien community and accelerating updates to the task platform as we approach TGE. These changes are designed to reward thoughtful, engaged contributors who participate with care. Be sure to review tips and training modules—they’re key to improving your QA score and overall performance.
Please note: users who attempt to bot or spam will not receive full points.
Don’t forget, you can boost your rewards not only by completing tasks regularly, but also by referring others. You’ll earn up to 5% of your referrals’ rewards for 12 months—with no cap on total earnings.
